I like that interpretation. Reminds me of how Tolkien described his Middle-earth as being a fictional history of our own Earth. The normal, mundane world of today was once a world of strangeness with great beings and monsters. Awesome.

So as I understand it, the original timeline had "wild men" (SCP-1000 or Yeren as Djoric calls them… I like the name "[Homo? Pan?] nocturnus" myself) created alongside Adam and Eve/Sela (I cite Index #: 5-A of Document 1326-82), and Cain/Qayin and Able/Hevel and so on, but the "wild men" took over the world, but then a "trickster forest god" (Mit'har?) favored us and gave us the Bloom (Mit'har?), which we used to re-write reality, but we didn't understand it too much so the Foundation created SCP-2000 as a means of making sure we wouldn't be subjugated again, and so we wouldn't need to use the Bloom again? I wonder why the Bloom was so horrible.
I wonder how H. s. descensus of SCP-1427/1348 fit into this Foundationverse. I'd say they probably aren't in the same Foundationverse as SCP-1000 since it is such a similar story (the main difference being the points in history during which these events took place, and the fact that SCP-1000 itself isn't physically described anything like descensus with the gigantism, six fingers and presumably an amount of body hair lesser than that of the apelike SCP-1000) and a human slave uprising against non-human humanoids is a bit redundant, but SCP-2000 makes an explicit reference to the beryllium bronze and the ten million descensus or descensus-like humanoids. What do you think?
I could sort of see descensus and SCP-1000 probably being the same, with the time displacement potentially being explained away by SCP-2000 and the physical differences being… well, I dunno. Probably another SCP-1000 BZHR malfunction or maybe a subspecies thing, I'm not so sure. Hell, the PACG/descensus stuff is already sort of internally inconsistent with ophite saying they appeared on Earth around 2,000,000 years ago, yet artifacts like SCP-1115 which broadcast in the PACG's language were dated to have been built around 12,300,000±600,000 years ago. SCP-2000 is definitely a useful thing for explaining some of these things.
Plus there's the Daevites and their history-changing stuff. They may or may not matter in this case anyway.
