Maybe this whole Bloom thing happened a bunch of times, who knows?

Said by someone else about something totally different:

Why did we have to build this thing?
When did we do it?
How long have we been doing it?
Do we even know?!

One of the reasons I love SCP-2000 is that it — totally on accident — keyed in really hard to some of the themes I intended in this SCP (but typically, only barely implied in the text, at least until the recent crosslink additions).

What does it mean to have everything you've ever known erased as if it never were? What would it mean if it could happen again? If it's a good thing — a good thing for whom? If you think it's you, are you sure? Why?
